In this session we explore what it means to be the Listener in Focusing. You’ll learn how the Listener’s attention supports another person’s process and how listening trains you to become a Focuser yourself.

Practice
If you have a study partner: Practice speaking / listening with them, taking turns to be in each role.
If you don’t have a partner, you can imagine speaking and then silently listen to what arises in your experience. You can also record yourself, listen to the recording, and reflect on what you said from the perspective of a listener.
