We are now going to explore the framework that emerges from the set of experiments with the feet.
Comments from Merete (Dec 3)
What emerges from foot exp. 1.mindful vs mindless – seems very
long – good idea to split it
I removed it and replaced with video 1 on this page.
Mindful activation – from invisible to visible – not feeling feet until
attention is paid, i don’t think that is correct, in filled out presence
the step between uncouscious being and consciously engaging is small – in hypo-patterns the step is much more significant
I removed that video, I think this is nicely addressed in the last video you recorded last week for the three types of experience (see session 1)
More than just the current situation – good example with Albert – leads
directly to the possibility of talking about different states in the
muscles – I think it would be good to put it in there as a video itself
with me talking
YES. If we have time, let’s record you talking about it. If not, you’ll tell me later and I can record it.
The experience of contact – good points – would it work with the
muscular states just before that?
YES. We can incorporate this with the above new video.
You ask if there are ways to bring in embodiment to the theoretical
videos. Yes, take a pause and register what happens to f.ex. your feet
while listening – and experiment with using the activations while you
listen.
More experiments we can suggest? Using the foot experiments for taking micro breaks and micro pauses. Take a pause, notice how the contact between your feet and the ground feels – and choose an experiment, a dosage.
YES to both. I included at least some of it in the new last video for this page (Practice in everyday life)
NOTES:
The first 2 videos are new.
The 3rd one (disconnection) is the one with Albert, under a different name. So you already saw it.
The last 3 videos are new: Interaction / test pilot, Learning, and Practice.
Proactive mindfulness =
The body-mindfulness of engagement
The practice is engaging in everyday life as a mindful experiment.
